Text Messages — client texts, coming soon

What this screen is for. The three texts your clients will get automatically — booking confirmed, a reminder the day before, and "your report is ready" — with an honest status: automatic client texts are coming soon. Texting switches on once your account has a texting number, and carrier registration is in progress. Until then no text is ever sent, and the tab says so plainly. How to get there. Sidebar → Marketing → Text Messages (the pill wears a Coming soon chip while texting is off). What every button does Today (texting off): the whole tab is one calm card — "Text messages to your clients", with a Coming soon chip and the plain sentence "Automatic text messages to your clients are coming soon." — listing the three texts: Booking confirmed — sent the moment you confirm, so the client knows the time is locked in. Reminder the day before — a heads-up with anything they need to do to get ready. Report is ready — the link, the moment their report is delivered. Nothing to set up — reply STOP always works, and only clients who tick "Text me updates" ever get a message. An "Automatic client texts" control sits at the bottom, deliberately shown disabled rather than hidden: you can see the feature is there and simply is not ready yet, instead of wondering where it went. Once texting is live, the tab grows into four parts: "Text messages are on" with a Live badge. What gets texted — the same three, going out automatically to clients who've said yes. Who can be texted — the opt-in list (name, phone, and a Yes / Stopped / Not yet badge), plus "Client asked me to text them": a sheet for recording a spoken yes — only for a client who actually told you it's okay, recorded with your name on it. A client who texted STOP can only turn texts back on themselves, by texting START. See sent texts — the Sent folder, where every text's honest status lives. Common questions "Can I text my clients their appointment reminders?" It's built, and it turns on at setup — once the texting number is carrier-approved. Until then the tab says so and nothing is sent. Sell it as built; never as works-today. "Do clients have to opt in?" Yes — the "Text me updates" box on your booking form (which only appears once texting is live), or a spoken yes you record. Nobody gets texted who didn't ask. "A client texted STOP by accident." Only they can undo it — by texting START. The record sheet will refuse politely; that's the law being followed, not a bug. "What do the texts actually say?" They name your firm first, carry the property address and your phone, and always end with the STOP line. Good to know This is the one click path to the Sent folder for texts — "See sent texts" — since the folder has no sidebar row of its own. The booking form's opt-in box and this tab read the same server truth: while texting is off, both stay honestly hidden.
