Signing up — the free trial

What this screen is for. Creating a HomeRecon account. Signup is free. No card, no sales call, and your first 3 inspections are on us. This page also offers a pay-now path for a firm that has already decided. How to get there. Any Start free button on the site lands here. The InterNACHI page's button opens it with the member box already ticked. The page has two parts. On the left (on top on a phone) is a navy panel. It says "Start free. No card." and the big heading "Your first 3 inspections are on us." Under it: "Your first 3 inspections are free. No card." Then four short points: one free practice inspection, the report drafts itself, your website and booking included, and pause or cancel any time. On a tablet or computer the panel also shows the price box, the same one as the home page: every feature included, the price, and the InterNACHI member price. Until December 31 the box shows $59.99 a month with $99.99 crossed out, and says "Start paying by December 31 to lock it in. Goes to $99.99 on January 1." From January 1 nothing is crossed out. On the right is the form. What every button does The form — four essentials Business name — becomes your booking-site address ("Your booking site: summit-peak-inspections.homerecon.ai"). Your name and License # (the license is optional — add it later in Settings if you like). State you inspect in — required, because it sets the rules we follow for your license display and your inspection agreement. Home inspection is regulated state by state; we don't guess your state later. Owner email and a password typed twice (at least 8 characters, with a show/hide eye). The second entry has to match — a silent typo here would be a lockout later. Mobile phone (when the security gate is on) — we text a 6-digit code; one account per verified number. If our texting service hiccups, the page says it's likely not your number and gives you support's address rather than a retry loop. The terms box — "I agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy." Both open in an in-page reader, so nothing you've typed is lost while you read. What you ticked, which versions were on screen, and when — all of it is recorded. Two optional extras I'm an InterNACHI member — tick it and type your member ID (it starts with NACHI and has numbers; the digits alone work too). Your member price applies right away: an ID in the right format is approved when your account is made, so on "Subscribe now" the first payment shown is the member price. While the box is ticked, the start button waits for a member ID that fits; untick the box to go on without one. Signing up with Google or Apple skips this box, so the page says to add your member ID later on your Subscription page. How did you hear about us? — one optional pick: InterNACHI, another inspector, a real estate agent, Google or another search, social media, an email from us, a podcast or video, a class or event, or something else (which opens a short box for your own words, up to 200 characters). Both are saved to your account the first time you sign in, once your account exists. If your connection drops at that moment, the app tries again later. How do you want to start? Start free (the default) — the trial. Your first 3 inspections, no card. Once you're in, you can also do one free practice inspection on your own home. It never counts. Subscribe now — for a firm that's already sure: pick monthly or a year up front (20% off; the $7 charges for extra inspections are still billed monthly). No card is taken on this site either way — after you confirm your email, the dashboard opens the checkout for you. Nothing is billed until then. The price on this page The page shows the price for the moment you are looking at it, and it changes by itself at midnight Hawaii time on the two deadline days: Until December 31, 2026: start paying by December 31 and your price is $59.99 a month for as long as you stay. The page also says that on January 1 the price for new sign-ups goes to $99.99. From January 1, 2027: $99.99 a month. The $59.99 price is not shown any more. InterNACHI members (once you type a member ID): $49.99 a month from your first payment. Start paying by January 31 to keep it as long as you stay. From February 1 it is $49.99 for the first 6 months. "Start by" always means start paying. A free trial still running on January 1 pays the new price. Each plan includes 5 inspections a month, then $7 each. The page only shows a price. It never sends one: our server sets your price at your first payment, from the date and your approved member ID. After you submit "One click in your inbox and you're live." We email a confirmation link; clicking it activates the account and signs you in — the link is your first sign-in. Sign-in and inspections stay locked until it's clicked. The success screen repeats your booking-site address and your sign-in email. Common questions "Do I need a credit card to sign up?" No. Signup is free, the trial is your first 3 inspections, and even "Subscribe now" doesn't take a card here — the secure checkout opens in the dashboard after your first sign-in. "I never got the confirmation email." Check spam first. If the address already had an account, the form says so up front and points you to sign in or reset the password instead. "Why do you need my state?" Licensing and your inspection agreement follow state rules — displaying your license the way your state wants it and naming the right standards of practice both start there. "Why a phone code?" One account per verified number keeps throwaway signups out. If the code won't come, the page offers a human way out after the second try. "What happens on my first login?" The dashboard sets up your firm — your account, your starter services with real prices, your website (in the default HomeRecon colors, yours to change in Settings) — and files your member ID and your answer to "How did you hear about us?". The setup guide walks you from there. "Can I read the terms without losing the form?" Yes — they open in a reader on top of the page; close it and everything you typed is still there. Good to know A brand-new firm starts with three real services on its site — a buyer's inspection, a pre-listing inspection, and a 4-point — with prices, so the booking site never renders empty. All editable later. Signing up an email that already has an account never leaks anything to a stranger — and never leaves you waiting on an email that isn't coming. Only HomeRecon's staff see the "How did you hear about us?" answers, as counts.
